NFL Week 11 DraftKings Main Slate Breakdown

November 20, 2021 · Peter MacFarlane · NFL

Welcome to week eleven of the Add More Funds DraftKings Main Slate Rundown. Remember, this is a weekly column. We are very excited to bring you high-level content using tools from our website. At AMF, we want to help both the experienced-player and beginners alike. To do this, every week we will release our favorite weekend classic slate plays. We will go position by position highlighting different price points. We will try to find the plays that provide value, whether they are underpriced or possibly, projected to be under-owned. Plays will be denoted as cash game or tournament specific.

Here is our week 11 NFL DraftKings main slate rundown.

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes ($7600) Play in all formats.

Mahomes projects similarly to Josh Allen ($8100) but is $500 cheaper and is much more stackable for tournament purposes. The game environment should keep him throwing for four quarters and I think the Chiefs have started to round back into form. Look to use him with Tyreek Hill ($8,200) or Kelce ($7,100) in tournaments and run it back with Ceedee Lamb ($7,600) for a tourney stack that will be popular but is so for great reason.

Joe Burrow ($6600) Prefer in tournaments but is still strong in cash

Burrow is priced right in that spot where he’s not cheap enough to feel like a great cash game value, but also isn’t priced so high that you feel like you will be paying up to be contrarian in tournaments. However, he is one of my favorite plays on the entire slate. Burrow’s team is implied for 26 points this week by Vegas but I like them to top that total. The Bengals are coming off their bye and the Raiders are struggling on and off the field right now. I think it is a great spot to get contrarian off the popular Chiefs/Cowboys stack and start your tourney lineups with Burrow.

Tua Tagovailoa ($5,500) Cash-game play

Most people going cheap at QB this week will lean towards Newton ($5,100) due to rushing upside and the discount off Tua. However, I think Tagovailoa is far safer and has a similar upside. Playing against the Jets this year has been a smash spot for opposing QBs and for a bonus the Dolphins don’t have a great run game to salt away any potential lead. This leads to a strong four-quarter projection for Tagovailoa.

Other QB thoughts

I am not playing Flacco ($4,600) regardless of his dirt-cheap price. I will also be avoiding all QBs in both Detroit-Cleveland and the Arizona-Seattle game. I like Prescott ($7,200) as well as Lamar ($8,000) for potential pivot options. Derek Carr ($5,900) and Tyrod Taylor ($5,000) should also be in positive pass game environments.

Running Back

Christian Mccaffrey ($8,900) Play in all formats.

Set it and forget it play here. According to AMF tools, Mccaffrey managed 44 snaps last week in a blowout. I think he’s fully geared up for this week's matchup with Washington. Carolina is 5-5 and as long as they are in the playoff wild card hunt I fully expect Coach Rhule to use his star at a 20-25 touch rate per game. With Cam Newton coming in that can only help Mccaffrey as they rely more on the run and short pass game.

AJ Dillon ($6,200) Cash-game play

Even with Aaron Jones playing for a good portion of their last game (46% of the snaps) Dillon led all rushers in rushes inside the 10-yard line (4) and was second in red-zone rushes (9). Even with his power back build at 6’ and 250 pounds Dillon has pass-catching chops. The combo of his three-down role in an Aaron Rodgers-led Packers makes this price tag look silly.

Jeff Wilson ($5,100) Cash-game play

There are a ton of good plays in this price range. Mark Ingram ($5,400), Myles Gaskin ($5,800), or James Conner ($6,100). But I think Wilson projects very similar to them. Combine that with playing against the Jaguars in a game missing both Elijah Mitchell and Jamycal Hasty and Wilson is a great play.

Other RB thoughts

As mentioned Mark Ingram ($5,400), Myles Gaskin ($5,800), and James Conner ($6,100) are all strong plays. I think Dalvin Cook ($8,200) and Nick Chubb ($7,800) are awesome tournament plays as I expect both to be overlooked with all the other RB value on the board.

Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill ($8,200) Play in all formats.

He’s leading the NFL in air yards and second in targets and catches. Playing in a high-scoring environment against a set of defensive backs that gamble and try and jump routes more than anyone. All that screams massive game for Hill. Great pivot off of Adams ($8,400) as well.

Jamar Chase ($7,200) Tourney play and Tee Higgins ($5,400) play in all formats

See the write-up on Burrow for extra information but I love the Bengals this week. Higgins has almost the same upside as Chase but in cash, his price is crazy low. This game should be back and forth with lots of points. Give me the clear top options in this exciting Bengals offense.

Michael Gallup ($4,200) Tournament only play

This one is probably obvious but Gallup is a great play this week. Last week in his return AMF tools had him down for 57 air yards and a 53% snap rate. Exit Amari Cooper and both of those numbers should jump up big time. The cherry on top is the opponent in the Chiefs.

Other WR thoughts

Jarvis Landry at $5,100 is in play against a soft Lions defensive backs corps. Hunter Renfrow ($5,800) isn’t that sexy but in cash, if you need a sub 6k receiver you could do much worse. Adam Thielen ($6,600) is due for a big game at home against the Packers. I am fading all receivers in the Cards-Seahawks game as well as Eagles and Saints. It sounds obvious but I will also not be playing anyone catching passes from Joe Flacco.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce ($7,100) Prefer in tournaments

He just gets targeted so much more than anyone else at the position. The Dallas matchup isn’t awesome so he’s more of a tourney play this week but is always fine in cash if you are spending down elsewhere.

Cole Kmet ($3,400) Play in all formats

Rarely can you say this but I think Kmet will be both low-owned and still very safe. With so many injuries to Bears pass catchers especially Allen Robinson (who operates in the same area as Kmet), I think this could be a bit of a breakout spot for the Bear's tight end.

Other TE thoughts

Gesicki ($5,200) and Goedert ($4,400) are fine plays this week but they are not values. I might look to Dalton Schultz ($4,600) in tournaments.

Defense

Browns ($3,100) Play in all formats

Playing against the Lions including Tim Boyle in his first career start as an almost two-touchdown favorite. Need I say more?

Washington ($2,400) Prefer in tournaments

Against Cam Newton/PJ Walker there is massive upside at a bottom-barrel price for the Washington defense. The loss of Chase Young stings but that shouldn’t impact your DK defense selection too much.
